Any standard motorcycle chain cleaner or degreaser works. Apply it directly to the bristles, then spin the wheel. If your chain has O-rings or X-rings, use a cleaner that's specifically rated as O-ring safe.
You need to be able to spin the rear wheel freely. A center stand, rear stand, or paddock stand all work. If your bike has none, a friend can help lift it briefly.
Rinse with warm water and a drop of dish soap. Let it air dry before storing. The nylon bristles will outlast most chains when cared for properly.
