Will it wreck my O-rings?
It's the first thing people ask, and it's the right question — the seals between your side plates are the whole reason a modern chain lasts. Wire brushes chew them. That's why this one uses stiff nylon instead.
Nylon is firm enough to lift baked-on lube and grit off the rollers and plates, and soft enough that it sweeps across an O-ring or X-ring rather than digging into it.
